ccbmom, hers hatched before yours so they are a little older and more than likley this is what you can expect yours to look like soon.

I thought that the second one looked a little older. Mine are doing great. Their wings are starting to feather out and their colors are real cool looking.

Welcome Lori, glad that you are here. I had four chicks hatch from Lydia's eggs. Two are buffs and two are partridge. They are gorgeous. As are your chicks. What other colors did you have hatch?

Hi I have the 2 buffs..2 partridge 1 black/blue looking one..and 1 that is the color of light sand..the sand one was born with a perfect vaulted skull, you can always tell in silkie chicks that if it has the vaulted skull it is going to have a knock out topknot when it is full grown..all of them has the right nubmer of toes and the fully feathered middle toe..I just wish that I could find a place around here to show them when they are older..tennessee don't seem to have much in the way of showing birds

As soon as I get more batteries for my camera I am going to take more pictures of them. I added a couple of pictures to "our birds" section a day or two ago. Then, my camera ran out of batteries. Luckily, the camera had enough juice to let me load pictures to the computer, but not enough to turn the camera on to picture mode . The chicks are so funny. They are at that teenager stage. The are getting their feathers, so they are kind of raggedy looking. Their topknots are hilarious though. They look like they are having bad hair days ;D.
