I can't belive I have been living here 13 years and now all the sudden we have opossums showing up.
My husband found two in my stepsons garbage can this morning and he shot them both.
They were about 1 year old and I just know that means mom and dad and maybe more siblings are out there.
Not to mention two days ago, I found the tarp on the top of one of my pens shredded open and I didn't know how that had happenend but am guessing that maybe it was one of those opossems. They did not attack my chickens and I don't know why they didn't.

Ohhhh, I do NOT like opossums! They are slow, but they can do a lot of damage to chickens. We have only had to deal with a few since we got the goats. The goats pen surrounds the chicken coops. I think that our male goat is soooo mean that nothing would try to go through his pen to get at anything.

I am glad that yall took care of those two that you found. Maybe that was all of them.
