Just to let everyone know, I have read on different websites that some people belive that shipped Nankin eggs can't be hatched. Well as you guys could see from the pic that I posted it just is not true. I have 10 Nankin chicks now and I think one more egg may hatch, now thats out of 16 eggs, one more of the eggs broke the shell half way thru but didn't make it all the way and died in the shell but I think that is a great hatch for shipped eggs.

I think that in some cases, people don't want to ship eggs. They can make more money off of selling adult birds. That way, they can also make sure that they keep all of the "best" birds for themselves. I, personally, think that nankin eggs are just like any other bantam egg. It all depends on how they are handled by the postal service (as long as they are packaged properly .
