I think Christmas is becoming way too commercial. I can remember when I was a kid how great it was, no we didn't get much but the antisipation was soo much fun. They didn't start bringing out Christmas decorations in the stores till after Thanksgiving and most parents did not go and get themself up to their rears in debt with charge cards and such. We have decided we are not going to do all that spending anymore, christmas is starting to loose its original meaning, we are going to buy a few things for the grandchildren and have a family dinner for the adults and that is going to be it. I enjoy just having everyone here and I don't really care about a bunch of gifts and have told them all... save your money don't buy us anything, just come to dinner.

I know what you mean. My kids are already making their Christmas lists and I can't even think about Christmas shopping when the temperatures are still in the upper 80's around here.
