Just curious. Anyone have anything in the incubator or under a broody? I haven't hatched anything in a couple of months and I am starting to get the fever again. We are building a carport with a room on the back for me to put my brooders in. I guess dh was tired of having chicks walking out of our utility room during supper ;D.

I always have silkies hatching and it won't be long and I will be hatching nankins. I hatched out a pretty polish not long ago and I have a silkie sitting on some serama eggs right now. Hey, when my newest whites start laying, do you want some eggs from them.

Do you have to ask ;D LOL. I sure would!
I had to move C.B. (polish) to the covered Nankin coop. Boy, she sure can fly and I would hate it if she flew out of the other coop and something got her. She knows her name and comes running when I call her. I don't know how she does it because I know that she can't see a thing with that top lol.

I have nothing hatching or incubating right now...My Serama was broody and is now molting, my Silkies are taking turns between molting and being broody...It sucks....I was just looking at my previous baby post and want those little fluffs back again. Lydia, you should see how fluffy those little Silkies are from my last eggs from you.

Merry Christmas everyone, It's been real cold up north, we have had several days with a high temp of around 6 degrees and getting to around 4 below at night, we have had a hard time keeping the waterers thawed, I have 5 red heat lamps in che chicken coops and one in the duck coop along with a electric heated wated dish. We have a silkie hen sitting on one egg and another on 2 eggs that will be hatching in a day or so, MAYBE CHRISTMAS! :-) And we also have 4 silkie eggs in the incubator that should hatch January 1st.

Mellie, did the Christmas eggs hatch? I don't have anything laying right now and even when I did, I couldn't get anything to go broody . Keep us posted on their progress .
